Cpap Will only stay on for a few seconds before turning off and showing the error message "high temperature fault "

Pull the water tank. Depress the latch on the back and separate the humidifier from the blower unit. Then connect a 22mm CPAP hose directly to the blower. If it runs, then the humidifier is defective.

Oh, and check the intake filter on the blower unit, if it's really dirty, it could impede airflow and actually overheat the blower motor.

It may be Kaput.
