CPAP setting at 14 and still waking up gasping!!!!

Help! I have been using my CPAP again for over a month now and after doing another sleep study, they upped my pressure from 10 to 14. However, the last few nights, even with my FFM, I have been waking up gasping for air!!!! I am unsure what is happening and what to do? My mask is not leaking and it is definitely covering my mouth and nose properly. Has anyone else ever experienced this? I am scared to go to sleep now. Hope you are all having a good day despite sleep problems.

My father had an issue with a full face mask that when pressure increased, his apneas got worse. They changed him to a nasal mask (only covers nose) and the problem went away and he was able to lower his pressure significantly. They think that for him, the pressure in the mouth was pushing his tongue back into his throat.
So, I would suggest trying a nasal mask instead of full face.
