Can I optimize my treatment?
#11
RE: Can I optimize my treatment?
I think your chart looks good. The CA's happened during a period where you are awake, but not fully awake.

We call that Sleep-wake-junk.

From the Wiki:
Clusters of apnea and hypopnea events concentrated mainly around periods of sleep-wake transition. In general Sleep-wake-junk (SWJ) is not regarded as "real" since they do not occur during periods of sleep, but may be during semi-awake periods or "dozing".

I would hold with those settings for awhile as long as you "feel" ok.  I'm sure Gideon will be around to advise.

RE: Can I optimize my treatment?
In general I feel "OK", I do have heart issues that came to light this past spring.  The added stress of my new diagnosis and the medications can also be contributing to me just feeling OK but not great.

In general, I want to make sure I am addressing my sleep apenea the best I can for my overall heart health.  As I'm sure you guys know there are studies showing that CPAP therapy can help folks like me with cardiomyopathy and decreased left ventricular function.
