Does aerophagia related to cpap only occur in the morning?

RE: aerophagia
You mean the waking up and belching or otherwise releasing air?

I would imagine for some people, the releasing could last longer but probably not all day.

Are you having issues?

RE: aerophagia
Yes, but it doesn't occur until after lunch. Lots of uncomfortable gas, today
in my shoulder blades.

RE: aerophagia
Could be totally unrelated to sleep apnea.

Has this always happened? Or is it new? Has anything changed?

RE: aerophagia
This is not new. I have been having this issue off and on since last May. I thought
it was related to Cpap since it seemed to go away when I got my auto machine.
Looks like it is unrelated. Thanks for answering so quickly. Robin

RE: aerophagia
Mine was mostly in the morning when I was on a constant pressure machine. Some days I could be quite filled with air.

If you are getting "bubbles" under your shoulder blades that may be a sign of something other than CPAP induced air. Not to scare you, but at times females can have heart symtoms show up as "air bubbles" in weird places. Many never have the "shooting pains down the arm" thing that is so common for males. I'd get checked out. I've seen that happen first hand with my mother-in-law, and I was the only one who correctly diagnosed her, even her (idiot!) doctor did not see the signs until she finally ended up in the emergency room. She hates it that I was right, but she's alive to hate it...

That's the first thing I thought of, too.

If this is the same symptoms in the same location you had before, fine. But if this is a new location and you are assuming it is due to the air, see your GP. Could be as simple as GERD.

RE: aerophagia
I have had this before, I treat it with gas x and or baking soda and water. That
fixes me up.
