Can't get Oscar to import data to Macbook

RE: Can't get Oscar to import data to Macbook
You might try this:
  • Go to your Documents folder and create a new folder named OSCAR_Data.

  • Open a terminal and type the following: open -a OSCAR.app --args --datadir OSCAR_Data.

  • Note: You might need to change the permissions of the OSCAR_Data folder.
See if you can now save a profile.

Crimson Nape- That worked! Thank you very much Thanks  Profile is now saving.

Also when I go to Help>troubleshooting>system information> I get the correct file location as in /Users/<username>/Documents/OSCAR_Data

But still cannot get information to load. I'm still getting the specify location and I go to documents in the options, then >OSCAR_Profiles>USERNAME>Resmedand some numbers> and then can click either Backup or summary but I don't know which to click.
Backup brings me to DATALOG and STR_Backup and Summaries doesn't have an option.

When I click cpap importer this is still the message:
A ResMed file structure for a AirSense 10 AutoSet For Her (*********) was located at: /Volumes/NO NAME

Would you like to import from this location?

Thanks again.

The "specify location" OSCAR is asking for, is where the raw data is located.   Evidently it found the raw data on, /Volumes/NO NAME.  Just answer Yes to the question, "Would you like to import from this location?".

RE: Can't get Oscar to import data to Macbook
Step by step:

  1. Remove the SD card from your xPAP machine
  2. Insert SD card into your computer (or card reader)
  3. Open OSCAR, select and open your profile (if it is not open already)
  4. From the Welcome tab, select CPAP Importer (looks like an SD card)
  5. A popup window should open saying "A ResMed file structure for a ...... was located at:"  /Volumes/NO NAME
  6. Select YES
OSCAR should import all the data from the SD card.  Once the import is complete you can view the data in the Daily, Overview, or Statistics tabs.

Good news. For whatever reason previously when I would click on yes to import the data nothing would transfer across. I tried my new SD card just now and it works and that's good enough for me. It didn't yesterday but with all your help it now works. I'll save the info from the old SD card that is going back to rental company on to my work laptop and drag it on to another SD card.

Thanks again everyone for your help like  I really appreciate it.

SD cards can and do go bad.  I recommend copying its data to a dedicated directory on your computer for safe keeping. Also, OSCAR creates a backup copy in your OSCAR_Data/Profiles/User Name/ResMed_Serial Number/Backup directory.
