One quick thought;  Each time you remove the SD card, are you using the Eject option in the File Explorer or the Safely Remove Hardware or Eject Media located in the SysTray? If not, your computer may be using the cached data in memory and doesn't know you have different data.

Instead of trying to zip the SD cards, please take a screenshot of each of the SD cards as displayed by File Explorer.
