Anyway, I'm not a happy camper. I know it takes time to get used to it, but I dont feel I'm making much progress. I go back to the doctor in about 2 weeks.
Any thoughts?

Cant take more than 2 hours a night
Recently I was diagnosed with central apnea and received a Resmed Aircurve 10 ASV about 3 weeks ago. Even with Ambien I cant fall asleep with the nasal pillows on. After about 2 hours I have to remove the mask due to claustrophobia and anxiety. Maybe I doze a little during that time, or not. Sometimes I put it back on for a little while during the night.
Anyway, I'm not a happy camper. I know it takes time to get used to it, but I dont feel I'm making much progress. I go back to the doctor in about 2 weeks. Any thoughts?

Lots of people like nasal pillows, but it is not unanimous. The last time I tried the P10, I lasted about 10 minutes or less. You may find, as I do, that a nasal mask like the F&P Eson 2 works better for you. Or perhaps a full-face mask, though those tend to have more leak issues due to the larger perimeter of the seal.

Welcome to the forum.
Many people find that wearing the mask whilst doing other things like watching tv or reading before bed can help over time to get used to the mask and allow the anxiety/claustrophobia to reduce

Getting used to any mask takes some time, but nasal pillows are the most minimalistic mask you can use. But just because I or someone else likes nasal pillows does not mean it is right for you. Also, be sure you are using a large enough pillow size. It should not be inserted into the nostril, but sit just under the nose.
Try using your mask (attached to machine and running) while sitting watching the television or reading. You would be surprised how fast the time goes and you wont notice the mask so much. If you simply can't tolerate nasal pillows, then switch up to a nasal mask.

The feeling of claustrophobia may be the mask or even your settings. It would be great if you could download the free #Sleepyhead program and post a chart. It's possible your starting therapy pressures are just too low. Which mask are you using?
