Hopefully your doctor has explained the causes of central apnea. If not, make an appointment with your doctor and ask questions.
If it were me, medication would be my last choice for treatment and ONLY IF all treatment fails and legitimately fails. For most, CPAP therapy works. Since we don't know your medical history and medications your doctor(s) have prescribed, you need to talk with your doctor who knows your medical history. Most of us aren't doctors and even if we were, we don't know your medical history and cannot prescribe treatment for you or anyone else. We can only talk about our apnea and what we experience and what has worked for us with NO guarantees that it will work for you or others.
