As ai mentioned earlier in the thread a cheap infrared camera you can use to record sleep could tell you a lot. You can see apnea, movements, arousal etc.
Imo it is the most powerful diagnostic tool for sleep issues behind a full in clinic sleep study and arguably more accurate since you collect the data from normal nights of sleep (sleep study data is often affected by strange location and equipment hooked up etc).
