Sleep tracker
Does anyone use a sleep tracker like a fitbit, resmed +, jawbone, etc.? Any recommendations? Do any of them actually work well for sleep stages?

RE: Sleep tracker
Depends on what it is supposed to do. If they are recording movement, they are all hit and miss with that. Unless it is using a chest band, the movement recording is rather useless. Sound recording can be useful but only if you can see the wave pattern and can zoom in on them. I tried one a a few years ago that didn't do that and I would have had to listen to the entire night or download it to my computer and use yet another software program to view the patterns (which would indicate noise such as snoring).

I tried an app for a while called Sleep as Android. Its movement tracking was based on the phone and since I use a memory foam mattress, that was worthless. But I liked it for its sound recording. I really need to finish up my review of it and post it.

I would use my Fitbit before my cpap days, and it was just to sporadic for my liking. I found the 24/7 app for tracking better, but now I don't even use that.

RE: Sleep tracker
I use the new Fitbit "Charge." It does a fair job of tracking overall sleep time, but really, it's kind of junk science. I just use it for fun. This my fourth Fitbit. The first two were eaten by the puppies. The third one did fine, but I ordered the "Charge" when it came out because it has a clock on it. Mrs. R_G has the "ChargeHR" ordered. It's supposed to do heart-rate. What I would really like to see, and I think it could easily be done, is to put a O2 sensor in it much like the little pulse oximeters that are used on your finger. That would be a good thing.
