I’m Looking for good Sleep Doctors in Sydney?

I’m Looking for good Sleep Doctors in Sydney?
Please delete in inappropriate or in the wrong place.

I was just hoping for recommendations as to good sleep clinics / more specifically a good  sleep specialist/pulmonologist - in Sydney -  that I could potentially get a new referral and go and see; as I’m not feeling very good about where I am..

Last night was a CI index of 7 with an OSA index of 3 and I’ve been told my Centrals are “not clinically significant” so it probably time after - bugger, a year - to get a second opinion.

Thanks

Primalyogi,
Sorry that no one has been able to help you with this. I'm posting to bump this back to the top and maybe some of our other Aussie friends will be able to help.

You can probably find a list of Sleep Doctors in you area by doing an internet search. Start by calling each one and get a feel for how they treat you on the call. If you can get an appointment, go prepared with a list of questions. Print out some of your OSCAR charts to take with you. If a doctor isn't receptive to your concerns, then move on.

Thank @Opal, I was planning on doing that but a recommendation is always a good place to start.

Agree! Keep checking back... someone may know a good doc or clinic there.

Hi Primalyogi

I can't help with Sydney but I saw Dr Miller at Canberra sleep clinic when I needed to get singed off for driving a bus. He seemed to be a caring and knowledgeable doctor. I've been retired for 5+ years so it was a while ago.
Good luck to find someone closer to you.

Finding a good sleep doctor in Australia is not easy and unless you have the prerequisite level of health insurance it will be an expensive process.

The level of expertise on this forum easily matches what any sleep doctor can tell you, especially for setting up your therapy for optimal performance. Can I suggest that you post some OSCAR charts and let some of those 'aficionados' do their magic.

The reasons I would do this are:

It's free - they don't have a pecuniary motive

With the current Covid situation in Sydney getting to see a sleep doctor will not necessarily be easy.
