RE: ChoiceMMed oximeter MD300W314
Three and a half years on now, sleeping well with a collar; an AirCurve 10CS PaceWave device; for excellent results, while still in AFib. Recent readings suggest I should revisit this issue of trying to get a compatible oximetry reader to work with my machine and my Apple computer. Can anyone offer a suggestion? The attached screen shots of my SleepyHead data on two consecutive nights might be helpful.

The Wellue brand has Mac compatible software and works with OSCAR. Don't know if it will work with SleepyHead though so you may need to upgrade to OSCAR.. The Wellue software is compatible with SleepU, O2 Ring, and Checkme O2 Max. You use their software to get the data off the oximeter via BlueTooth, then you can import it into OSCAR. The other popular oximeter here is the Contec CMS50F but the software is Windows only. You would need to run a VM with Windows installed in order to use it. It may not be the best choice if you don't need Windows for anything else.

Thank you. I've now downloaded Oscar and contacted Wellue for information about their two types of suitable oximetry readers. The Check 02 Max Continuous wrist one might be best, but I'll see what the experts say. Cheers...poppypete.

That model look like it's the more powerful big brother the the SleepU I have from them. It's comfortable to wear overnight, and real easy to get the data. Much less bulky than the CMS50F if that's a concern for you. And I think the Check O2 Max has much better battery life. SleepU is only good for two days. Only bad thing I can say about it is the price.

[attachment=37381 Wrote:poppypete pid='421080' dateline='1636439024'] I have had my first night's sleep with Checkme O2 Max Oximeter, and have downloaded the readings into their sleep report App on my Apple computer. When I download my sleep data into Oscar, how then (what steps do I take)...to import the oximetry data into Oscar?

According to the Apnea Board's Viatom File Import Wiki (http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php...port#macOS), here are the steps for a macOS:
macOS Download and install Viatom's free O2 Insight Pro software. [link] Connect your oximeter to your Mac via Bluetooth. The O2 Insight Pro window should say "Device connected" in the bottom right corner. Click Download. The downloaded session files will be stored in /Users/YourUserNameHere/Library/Containers/com.viatom.O2PCViewer-BLE/Data/Library/Application Support/O2_Insight_Pro/DATA/SerlalNumber. The "Library" folder is hidden by default, but you can still reach it by pressing cmd-shift-G and entering "~/Library" in the file selection dialog. Import the Downloaded Sessions into OSCAR Select Data > Import Viatom Data in OSCAR's menu bar. Navigate to the folder where your downloaded session files are stored. See above for the location, depending on how you downloaded the data from the device. The session files are named after the time at which each night's recording started, e.g. 20200408214533 for April 8, 2020 at 9:45:33 pm. Select the folder containing the session files and click Open. All sessions in that folder will be imported, and previously imported sessions will be skipped. Alternatively, if you want to import only a single session, you can select just that session file. Note: On Windows, you cannot directly open a folder. Shift-click to select more than one session file in the folder, and all files in that folder will be imported.

......................... In the meantime, I will monitor my sleep from the Oscar software and the oximetry data providing via my SpO2 wrist monitor.. My 24hr period begins with an afternoon nap between 1pm and 3 pm... ...so let's start there for now as this will show how my supine resting/sleeping activity is currently going. (I am required to sleep on my back at all times at present, due to the sternum recovery and healing to be ongoing for now.) On Sat 4th March, I had a 50min nap/sleep, and had an AHI of 9.6. That figure I expect to average down after tonights figures are added in and the 24hrs average revealed. I will attach my screen shots for that small session, and ask my questions about the charts.
Poppypete Ps...I am rusting on attaching screen shots, so here are 2 on this post, with another 2 from the same session following.
