RE: Cleaning Spill Inside of Dreamstation Machine
I saw a post once that mentioned household insurance might pay for repairs, less your deductible.

RE: Cleaning Spill Inside of Dreamstation Machine
I have used Ozium to recover machines that had been used by smokers. It works, but do not spray it into the intake. The method suggested by Walla, to spray a cotton ball or tissue and let the machine intake the vapor is the safe and correct approach. Lots of uses for Ozium including cars, bathrooms, illness accidents etc. Don't breathe the spray directly, but it does clear the air and disinfect. A little bit goes a long way.

I never knew you could add oils to the chamber. Maybe I will give it a try. Any rules on usage,

Any rules on usage, Some may do it; I think it's a very bad ideer. Bad enough that we get a bit of scale even though using (supposedly) distilled water – hate to think what essential oils would do. Side note: At least it would be "downstream" from the machine. Nevertheless, the humidifier would be impacted (infected?).

Putting oils in the humidifier may cause a reaction with the container. I would suggest placing a cotton ball, saturated with the oil, adjacent to the air intake. Positioning relative to the intake would allow easy adjustment of the intensity.

I would add nothing to the reservoir except for a good quality water. If I were willing to live with some staining of the plastic, and wanted some original drama for effect, I might consider adding a safe food dye. But oils? No way.

I'd be more worried about what it was doing to my lungs rather than the machine!
