RE: Cleaning?
I find when I start getting brain fog its time to clean. Use distilled water only for humidification. Clean tubing and water tank and mask with mouth wash. Stronger the better. Rinse with water. Replace filters after 30 to 60 days. Mask tubing and hose every 3 months.

Clean???

I wash the the silicon pillow from my Pilairo with warm water and baby soap every morning to get the oil off....
...and I wash the grey foam filter when I think the noise has changed.

The thing about a foam filter - the dirtier it is the better it filters the air. Smile

But the problem is that it may not allow enough air into the machine, which could in turn prevent the CPAP machine from operating properly and shorten its life.

A technician once explained it to me this way. The most efficient filter is a solid sheet that allows no air to pass through it!

I wonder if there is a really good way to keep the head gear clean and not get to streached out. washung it seems to take all the goo out of it

RE: Cleaning?
I've found it best not to take the mask off the head gear when cleaning; I do remove the pillows but leave the rest of the mask intact. That way you don't wear out the velcro or have to re-position the straps each cleaning. I used to have to get new head-gear every 3 to 6 months - now they last a year; but I do change the pillows monthly.

I don't think so. I've tried never washing the headgear and it still stretches out.

Dont-know

They're only supposed to last three months, but everyone I know gets a lot more mileage out of them.
