Climateline heated hose - broken or bad connection

Climateline heated hose - broken or bad connection
My Resmed heated hose (for Airsense 11) seems not to be functioning as it has previously.
The heat setting is at 80F, and I used to feel the hose being just a little warm - but not so for the past few weeks.

It'd like to see if the heater wire is broken, or if I've just got a bad connection at the machine's port.
I'd normally use an ohm meter to check for continuity at the hose end, but there are 4 pads there, and I don't know which are for the resistance wires and which are for the thermistor leads.  If I put the ohmmeter (uses 9 volt power) across the thermistor leads I can damage the thermistor.

SO does anyone know which are the heater wires and which are the thermistor?
