Rainout

Rainout
When I started on CPAP, I had a problem with condensation in the hose. My hoses are now insulated. I have a ResMed S8 VPAP Auto 25 with their series 4 humidifier (forgot the exact model designator). During colder weather we keep our bedroom on the cool side and I have some problem with condensation in the F & P Zest nasal mask. I have had some luck keeping the excess hose coiled under the covers and reducing the humidification setting but still occasional occurrences. Is there a heated hose that will work with this setup? Any other workarounds? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

PaytonA

Hybernite heated tube (19mm) with power supply (rainout control system), check suppliers # 17 and #1. Not compatible with S9 or PRS1 60 series machines http://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread-...plier-List

If the condensation limited only in the mask (not in the hose), its more to do with breathing out, warming the room on cold nights does help

Thanks for the information. Is there any way to insulate the mask easily?

I don,t think so, if the moisture in the mask from your breath.
Snugglehose cover and mask liner helps. (mask liner may helps absorb some of the moisture)
