Compliance Report for DOT/CDL physical

Compliance Report for DOT/CDL physical
Hoping this subject hasn't been beaten to death; I'm a moderator on a smartphone forum and I know how painful it is to see the same threads over and over. I tried searching, but the forum didn't like most of my search terms, and the results I did get weren't pertinent

I have a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) here in IL and at the end of the month, my medical card is expiring. Have to go for annual physical, and one requirement is a compliance report for my CPAP. In the past, it's been as easy as taking my card in to the pulmonologists office and getting a report 15 minutes later. However, insurance changed at the beginning of the year, and that doctor is no longer available. Even worse, it's a two month wait for the one sleep specialist on my new insurance.

So I decided to figure out the ResScan software. I had previously downloaded the software and installed it, just never had a need to make it work. To my delight I'm figuring it out, and it's pretty cool having the report in my hands, knowing what my breathing is doing at night.

My question is this: Is there anyone in the same boat - Generating your own compliance report for DOT physical? If so, have you experienced any issues with them accepting a compliance report that didn't come from a dr's office?

My compliance is 100%, love my CPAP, so that's not an issue. Just wondering if there's anything I should do special or avoid doing. Any help is appreciated.

If you get in to a time pinch, could you just pay your old doctor out of pocket? Sounds like a minimal office visit code. Might not be cheap, but you can't afford to miss the deadline, either.

Hi welcome , I also have to maintain a CDL here in Louisiana. One year I was required to show compliance with CPAP. I took my sd card to my durable medical supply company and they printed out a report that was excepted as proof. Good luck, I use Sleepyhead to generate my reports for my use, very good program, and FREE

I do the same as kilowatt. I use my DME for DOT compliance reports. It is a free service they provide for clients. They charge a nominal fee for everyone else. The clinic that does my physicals if won’t accept a report that doesn’t have a third party letterhead.
