Confused about by sleep study and next steps
#11
RE: Confused about by sleep study and next steps
Truthfully, the combo of the doc and DME office together isn't ideal, but if you're careful you might be OK. The rental thing is a typical thing for lots of apnea therapy patients. Be armed to read and understand what you're signing for.

IMO calling your insurance is a great idea. While on the phone, ask for 3 or more local DMEs that are in network; this can be contact info to do a comparison, if you wish.

When you do get a sleep study and supposing you progress to get a CPAP script, tell the doc you want full hard copies for your personal records. Don't take no as the answer on this. Trust me, there's a time where you'll need this info in your hands.
