Congestion
Getting some congestion, is this caused by to much humidity? Been on auto cpap for a little over a week now. Using a System One with FFM and heated hose.

RE: Congestion
Reports exist that either too little or too much humidity may cause congestion in different people.

Try changing it....

Hi Brad,
WELCOME! to the forum.!
Where do you have your humidity level set? Sometimes too much humidity can cause you problems and also, too little humidity can cause problems, it's one of those things that is trial and error.
Hang in there for suggestions and best of luck to you with your CPAP therapy.

CPAP air can be irritant and that causes nasal passages to produces excess mucous which in turn causes the congestion.
Everyone is different, for me extra moisture helps reduce the symptoms but the opposite is true for other people
I find saline sinus rinse before going to bed and sometimes in the morning helps clear the sinuses. There are some OTC but have not be used for more than 3 days because of the rebound effects, nasal steroid sprays available with a script from your doctor or ENT but try sinus rinse first, might not have to go any further

Your machine uses two types of filters, try add the white fine filter and if you have some allergy, there is some hypo-allergic version too

RE: Congestion
Your info says "Florida" & "Minnesota".

If you are in Minnesota, I would guess that your humidity is set too low and needs to be increased.

If you are in Florida, it may be set to high.

Does your mouth feel dry in the morning? How has your leak been?
