Corrupt SD card

RE: Corrupt SD card
Ok, so from what I read, if you get that message it means that there is data from that time period, so you should try this again later, and then again tomorrow morning right after you get up and then maybe again just after noon. At some period it should allow the change.

And you know there is always the option of calling resmed on the phone and having them help you fix it. I just thought of that one.

What I would like to know is - are all the S9 machines set in military time? The 'idiot' that I originally got the machine from was just that - an idiot. He literally delivered the S9 to my doorstep, handed it to me and said "you already know how to set up a cpap machine and I'm in a rush - so here - have a good time." I suspect the military time thing was set at the factory and is a 'default' setting.

From S9 clinical manual:
Date: Sets the current date or time. If you set a new date or time that occurs in the past then an ‘Invalid date/time, data exists for this period’ message is displayed.

Time: Before this change can be made, erase the compliance data – available under the Configuration menu.

Talk to your DME before erasing the compliance data so they know whats going on

S9 machines don't want to set the date back to a time for which there already is data.

What time and date does the machine say and what's the correct time and date?

You can try setting the time just before you go to bed or other times when you haven't used the machine for a while. It may work at some times of day and not at others. There's some weirdness about when the machine thinks it's noon.

You might be able to change the time a few hours one day, then a few more hours the next day. Yes, it's stupid, but it might work.

In theory, if you erase all the compliance data on the machine, you can then set the date and time. Don't do this if you're still in your compliance period for insurance. Save your SD card data first.

I just read up more on this and it appears you must erase the data before you can set the change. If you have compliance issues you may not be able to do that but that is what I have read in every search I have done. Maybe someone else will have a suggestion?

And there they are, obviously they beat me to it Smile

RE: Corrupt SD card
The DME where I get my cpap supplies is the place that was actually able to download the data from my cpap machine. In doing that, the young lady explained to me that the SD card that was in my machine and the doctor's nurse tried to download was corrupt. So...the young lady at the DME downloaded data from the machine and gave me a new SD card. She also gave me a printed copy of the data she downloaded - which she indicated she would fax to the sleep doctor's office.

I don't have to see the sleep doctor for another year. Would it matter if I erased all the data tomorrow morning?

If you just started recording data today or yesterday then missing a day should in no way matter for compliance.

The big question is "do you have to prove compliance for insurance?"

Is there a modem on the back of your S9 machine? Do you mail in the SD card periodically?

Do you own the machine? Are you paying a monthly payment? How long have you had this machine? Usually, you pay a monthly rent for x months and then it's yours.

I have Medicare and Mutual of Omaha for insurance, so in a way, Yes, I do prove compliance. However I only see the sleep doctor once a year at his request. He originally told me that unless I developed a problem I didn't have to come more than once a year because I am 100% compliant.

No, I am not required to mail in the SD card. I was asked to bring it with me today for my appointment.

I have had this machine since May of 2012, so I am assuming it now belongs to me.

I would say you likely own the machine. But I would also say compliance is usually allowed to miss a few days a month so even if you missed a day or two by erasing the data it shouldn't matter. I believe when I got my machine they said 25 days a month 4+ hours a night was considered compliance.
