DS2 Flow limits

DS2 Flow limits
In reading some of the posts, I have realized that Resmed CPAP machines treat flow limits differently from Phillips Respironics machines and have different algorithms. I am wondering if my pressure settings could be tweaked to get better results in regard to flow limits?

My replacement DS2 advanced Auto CPAP therapy is working well but could be better. Received the machine this April, I started at a pressure of 7 to 12, flex 2, no ramp. (The pressure of 7 to 12 was the pressure I used on my DS1 for 2 ½ years, and I was using the ramp feature.)

After about 3 weeks, seeing if I could improve my flow limits, I tried changing the flex setting from 2 to 3. (I had used Flex 3 in DS1 and it didn’t bother me). But I felt it difficult to breath to and turned it back to 2. I gave it another try a few days later and I had the same result. I haven’t tried Flex 1.

To receive a better EPAP I raised my min pressure to 8 and kept the max at 12. Not sure if it better but definitely not worse.

DS1 Flow Limits: Average range from 0.44 – 0.70
DS1 AHI: Average range from 1.17 to 2.32

DS2 Flow Limits: Average range from 1.30 to 2.31
DS2 AHI: Average range from 1.17 to 2.32

Long story short, since Flex 3 doesn’t seem to be an answer, would increasing min to 8.5 or 9 be a pressure that could address the flow limits? I included a couple charts, hopefully they attached. Thanks for your thoughts.  Thanks

Found a typo on my post,    Too-funny should read:

DS1 Flow Limits: Average ranged from 0.44 – 0.70
DS1 AHI: Average ranged from 1.17 to 2.32

DS2 Flow Limits: Average ranged from 1.30 to 2.31
DS2 AHI: Average ranged from 1.23 to 1.60

Thanks!

RE: DS2 Flow limits
Last night's chart 6/28, my only changes on my DS2 were:

Raised Humidity level to 5 from 4
Raised Tube temp to 4 from 2

Last night's AHI was 0.92

Flow limits were down as well to 0.92

See chart

Is there a relationship to Flow limits and Humidity?

Thanks!

RE: DS2 Flow limits
Update: I raised my min/max pressure to 8.5/12.5 a couple of days ago. The increased pressure of just .5 and it seemed to have improved my AHI and I feel more rested. So less Obstructive and Hypopnea events. O2 has improved as well!    Smile   Flow limits are about the same.
See a couple recent charts.
