Any suggestions of how to get a S8 cable to hook up to a computer.

RE: Data cable for S8
They are nearly impossible to get. Try ebay. I know the card readers are regularly available through some seller in Israel I think. Zonk knows more about that than I do.

I did a Google search and someone on another forum said it was "22203 ResScan USB Adapter (with cable)". I found several online retailers who had it but was only "listed for reference" which is a good way to pull someone in then disappoint the crap out of them. Sadistic bastids.

Hi calvin23, welcome to the Apnea Board!

Do you know what your S8 machine's model name or model number is?

I think the Clinician Manual for the machine would probably give instructions for what can be connected to that port.

Good luck,
--- Vaughn

The Advisory Member group provides advice and suggestions to Apnea Board administrators and staff on matters concerning Apnea Board operation and administrative policies - not on matters concerning treatment for Sleep Apnea. I think it is now too late to change the name of the group but I think Voting Member group would perhaps have been a more descriptive name for the group.

RE: Data cable for S8
Hi Calvin23,

I tried in December to obtain the usb adaptor - same outcome as Paula02.
I went ahead and ordered the card reader from eBay (seller based in Israel) only took 10 days to arrive, works perfectly.

cheers
John

These are available from ResMed. This is a listing under the "S8 DATA ACCESSORIES" heading from the "Confidential Home Care Provider Product List" although this list is easily and freely available from the ResMed website, even without using "underground" methods. Anyone can access this.
It's 99% probable that you can't just call up ResMed and request these but if you're on good terms with the place you got your CPAP from, they might be willing to oblige.
