Although it's been a LONG time, I thought I would post something for any new folks that happen to find this thread.
YES, it was sleep debt (IMHO).
Since I hadn't been sleeping for about 10 years before I got diagnosed, it takes time to recover.  Took me about 5 years!

Although I felt better, it was really about 5 years into using the CPAP, that I woke up one day, refreshed.  I mean I felt really good.
It was amazing.  Now several years after that, I am not sleepy during the day, IF I got a reasonably good sleep the night before.
I really dislike having to use the CPAP but I use it every night because I really like the results of the CPAP.
Not a cure, but it is an effective treatment.

Also, at about 20,000 hours, my S9 machine started complaining that it was at end of life.  It was still running fine, but the manufacturer had built an end date into it.
Probably to avoid any lawsuits.  Now using the S10.
Still collecting the data and using OSCAR to read it.
