Finally got rid of my brick. Need help with data.
I had a PR 260 and recently swapped it out with a PR 460 so that I could have access to data collection. I've been reading through all the Sleepy Head articles but it's a lot of information to process. I was wondering if any of you could help me out a little.
From what I've read it seems like my AHI is pretty good. Some of the other info is confusing though.
My old machine was set at 11 so I decided to set this new machine at 9 - 13. It looks as if I'm at the max pressure for most of the night. I'm not sure if this means I need to adjust the max to a higher pressure or if the higher pressure is causing more events?

RE: Finally got rid of my brick. Need help with data.
Zack, it looks like for 95% of the time you are at your max setting of 13, mostly driven by snores and flow limitations.
You were using your old machine at a pressure of 11, so I think you can set your starting pressure at 11, but definetly need to raise the upper limit.
I think you would do better at a setting range of 11-15, then watch it for a week.
Hopefully this will help with the snores and apneas without causing any clear airways.
I'm sure others will be along with suggestions. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice!
You mentioned snores and that's one thing that stood out in the data. One of the days I had 107 events and the next day 163 events (between both snoring categories). Is that an excessive number?

The Phillips Respironics machines can pick up small vibrations and flag them as snores.
If you adjust your pressure, let us know if it makes a difference.

Thanks, Opal. I'll try your recommendation of 11-15 and see how it works out.

Zach, I agree it might be fine to raise the range a little, but I wouldn't much. The 13 says you are at or below 13 95% of the time. Also I think I only counted 4 events? That's not much. So you're doing very well. A very small, as in a 1/2 point increase to your bottom limit and to your max might be just the ticket to smooth out your flow limit and put you in the "zone."
Good job with this!
