RE: Got my results and am now afraid to go to sleep
Imagine my horror when i got my results: AHI:83 and O2 levels down to 50%. A couple of times i was not breathing for a duration of over 1 minute!!
Anyway it took 2 1/2 weeks to get correct machine for me, so during that period I was really battling to sleep even though it had never bothered me much before the result.
I have now been on a Resmed S9 VPAP S for 3 weeks and feeling much better already. At least I 'know' that I am breathing properly as I sleep.

Hi EPSAHM2, First of all, WELCOME! to the forum.! It's GREAT to hear that your titration went so well and that you felt so refreshed the next morning. It will be great when you finally get your machine so you can continue onward with your CPAP therapy, best of luck to you.

I'm glad you are feeling better! Do you know what your AHI has dropped to with therapy?
As always, YMMV! You do not have to agree or disagree, I am not a professional so my mental meanderings are simply recollections of things from my own life.

I downloaded the Rescan software from the link provided by this site and see that since I started my overall AHI is 9,8.
I am still sorting out the fitting of my mask though and in the last week it has dropped to 6.1.
Unlike my sleep study where I was continuously having apneas throughout the night, I now just have bursts of apneas with good apnea free sleeping periods. Those bursts do tend to wake me up, and I am still hoping for a full night's sleep.
