Actually the VAuto can go up to 25 cm whereas the CPAP and APAP go only to 20 cm. The difference is that the VAuto can better address flow limitations. This is because of its ability to adjust the Pressure Support in a finer increment over a larger range of pressure.

And yes, difficult with high pressures can be eased for some patients with the greater pressure support the VAuto can provide.

If you're investing in the purchase of a machine, and if the price isn't a sticking point, then by all means get the VAuto. It can do what the Airsense 10 Autoset can do, plus a lot more if you need it. But if the outlay is worth it to you only if you can know it advance that it'll work well for you, be aware that no one is in a position to say that.
