just a suggestion, before you spend that extra $300, ask them to write down exactly what that covers. they are not supposed to change your pressure without a script (at least they say that in the US) but you can do all of that yourself and if you are not sure if changes are needed, you can post your data here and we can help you.

I find a lot of the sleep medicine practice incompetent and scammy.

It isn't just seeing the patient as a cash cow which is another dominating theme of apnea treatment, but it is also poor medical treatment in general. A paper published in 2008 of "certified" sleep centers said they didn't have a written protocol.
