Wecome to the Apnea Forum, Babe.

If you click on the 'CPAP Setup Manuals' link at the top of the page, you will first find instructions on how to enter the Setup menu on your machine, and further on, instructions on how to request the Clinician's Manual for it.

pholynk is right. You really need to get the Clinician's Manual for your machine so you will know how all the features work and how the interact together.

To adjust settings:
- the icon showing 2 arrows rotating indicates rotate the dial to perform an action
- the icon showing a finger pushing a button indicates press the dial to perform an action
- the icon showing an arrow pointing down indicates a sub-menu with more options
- the icon showing an arrow pointing up will take you back to the main menu

To enter the Clinician's Menu
1. Start at the main menu
2. Press and hold the ramp button on top and the control dial on the front at the same time for about 5 seconds to enter the Clinician's Menu.
3. Rotate dial clockwise until the Comfort Menu is shown. Press the dial to enter the Comfort Menu. The Smart Ramp, Ramp Time and Ramp Start sub-menus are now available.

Short overview off ramp features:
The Smart Ramp menu allows you to turn the Smart Ramp on and off. In auto mode the Smart ramp applies the auto cpap algorithm during the ramp period. The Ramp Start pressure becomes the auto minimum pressure during the ramp period. The auto maximum pressure during ramp is the auto minimum under normal auto mode. If Smart Mode is turned off a standard, linear ramp mode is active.

The Ramp Time menu allows you to set ramp time in 5 minute intervals for up to 45 minutes. If the therapy pressure is set to 4 cmH2O this screen will not display. If the ramp time is set to 0, Ramp start will not be displayed.

This sets the Ramp starting pressure in 0.5 cmH2O increments. It is only available when Ramp time is >0 and therapy pressure is >4 cmH2O.
