Dry mouth

I have looked around the forum to see if anyone else has dealt with or figured out a solution to dry mouth. I didn't find anything. Any thoughts or ideas please.

Have you tried raising your humidifier level?

People here have recommended a product called Biotene.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I have my humidifier on its highest setting.  I have tried Biotene, it didn't work for me.

Are you using a heated hose? (Your machine would need to have the capability.)

My mouth comes out dry even with a full fame mask when I breath through my mouth. I am practicing putting my tounge to the roof of my mouth and suck it back.

I don't have a heated hose.  I don't think the machine has that capability either. Today i picked up a box of xylimelts to try tonight.

It doesn’t cut off your air, but stops air from escaping from your mouth.

Tongue Suck Technique:
Place your tongue to the roof of your mouth with tip of tongue behind front teeth.  Slowly suck upwards and back.
This places the tongue in a natural position, with the back of tongue sealing the back of the throat so that if you open your mouth/jaw while sleeping, no air will escape.

This takes practice and time to master, but well worth it.  I’m not saying it works for everyone, but for many of us, it has.  

Just wanted to add that alot of medicines we take add to the problem of dry mouth.

The short version is that it is very common among us that tend to breathe through our mouths and it happens even with wearing a full face mask.

I'm currently experimenting with the xylimelts which seem to work fairly well, but don't last through the night for me.
I've tried a chin strap but it kept sliding all over the place. It worked when it stayed in place.
I've tried soft cervical collar which kept my mouth shut but caused me to put too much pressure from my teeth on my tongue and cheeks. It worked since I wasn't breathing through my mouth.
I've tried (and try) to train my tongue to stay on roof of mouth but have only been partly successful.

Xylamelts have been working for me--just got an order this week. One makes it nearly through the night which surprised me. I too had dry mouth problems when trying to use a FFM (Amara View). That only lasted a couple of nights.
