Yes I switched to the large but the leaks were still too severe.

I am guessing it all comes down to the person using the mask and the shape of their nose ... It's too bad you're experiencing the leaks and with little success switching the pillows up...   Dont-know

Very likely.  Scuba divers - I are one - have a similar issue.  At depth, when you're a bit cooler than at the surface, and breathing pressurized air, any nasal congestion can cause an odd "reverse blockage" where the pressure in a sinus is higher than ambient.  Then all sorts of things pop. :-)
