Ears
#11
RE: Ears
Over the counter approaches to blocked eustachian tubes include gargling with saltwater (to help shrink the tissue around the tube entrance and dilute sticky secretions) and use of guafenisen products to thin secretions so they may drain more easily (ex Mucinex, combo products with both guafenesin and a decongestant).
If you have post-nasal drip, some folks have found saline rinses of the sinuses may help reduce that. Others find an OTC nasal steroid helps dry and shrink tissues.

If you hold your nose and gently blow air into your ears, do they pop or are they blocked? If blocked, you might want to check with your doc.
