Effects of anesthetic on apnoea. (my experience)

Thanks for your post. 

I have hand surgery coming up in A few weeks and I opted for the "awake with nerve block" form out of worry with general anesthesia and OSA. I have noticed a similar result as yours if I take a sleeping pill. My husband wakes me to adjust my mask if I knock it to the side. His gift is now having a few new hilarious stories of things I do and say under the influence.

I can also achieve a similar result with three or four glasses of red wine.. AHI up, and mask dislodged and leaking, me not likely to even notice an if an atomic bomb went off.

The idea has actually been raised before regarding "like" buttons, and other emoticon buttons... but if I recall correctly, there is a reason it can't be added to this forum page.
