Encore Pro Software

RE: Encore Pro Software
Thanks for the info regarding the fine print regarding used machine purchases on their site. I installed the encore viewer software last night and so far I am happy with the reports and information it is giving me. I am happy with my machine and the only drawback I see is that is uses a smart card vs. a SD card to record data keeping me limited to proprietary software and reader. So I think I'll stick with what I've got for now.

RE: Encore Pro Software
Message me if you want the full EncorePro to download. It's a big file though, around 800mb. This is a PRIVATE offer though, and is not being offered or shared with the permission or hosting of the site owners. Thanks Smile

RE: Encore Pro Software
Boatman, I used EncorePRO for several years. It has not been updated in a long time, and is not very compatible with modern 64 bit computers and operating systems. EncoreViewer is also very limited in its capability. On the other hand, EncoreBasic 2.4.8 offered through the forum here: http://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread-...s-Machines is very capable. Other than the handling of multiple patient accounts and passwords, it is much better than EncorePro in every way. I recommend you try it out and understand that EncorePro is no longer supported, while EncoreBasic works well.

RE: Encore Pro Software
Just downloaded it with Windows 7. While I love SleepyHead, I will use this to show my doc. Basically I use a Mac, but had to get a PC when teaching. Found a refurbished Lenovo.

I still have my Encore Viewer from my M series unit years ago. Would not work...so glad I could get this newer version...Thanks to all who make it possible.

RE: Encore Pro Software
Hi folks.....I'm a new member here but been using a CPAP for quite a few years. I use the Respironics REMstar auto and I'm happy with it.

I bought 2 cheap readers on eBay a few years ago but none worked with the EncorePro software I attained so I gave up.

Has anyone identified the 'type' of smartcard reader required to read the smartcards used in the old Respironics machines?

The card reader is a Mako Infineer DT3500. They are currently sold as an "Encore Smart Card Reader" by Supplier #1 for $79. Hopefully you will find a better deal, but it is out there, after being discontinued for several years.

I'm going to add, you could have a brand new Philips Respironics System One 60 series Auto for $400. That seems to be a better use of the money.

Thanks for that. It's $54 from Supplier #9. I was just wondering if it was a certain type........so I could easily get it from eBay......maybe cheaper....but at that price I can't complain. BTW the System One is $400 in The States......but $1700 here in Australia :-(

RE: Encore Pro Software
Why no waveforms?...
I have a similar problem; maybe someone can help!
I purchased a used Mako Infineer smartcard reader. I think it's a DT3500, because on the bottom by barcode it says P/N DT3500.
I also have a M series Respironics machine--but mine is a Bipap AutoSV. It's supposed to detect when I'm not breathing and react appropriately for central apneas.
I also downloaded EncoreBasic 2.4.8 from apneaboard as advised.
My machine is about $1000 to replace from supplier 2, which is a lot of money for me and so I'm really trying to determine WHAT is broken or not broken.
I'm very suspicious the machine isn't detecting properly when I stop breathing. So my objective is to:
SEE what the report says after I KNOW I've just woken up from a central apnea--SEE if it detected that I stopped breathing.
But when I download data to Encore Basic, it only shows my compliance report, number of hours used type info, plus the following info:
Average Device EPAP Pressure
Average Percent of Night in Periodic Breathing
Average Time in Large Leak per Day
Average Breath Rate
Average Minute Vent
Average AHI
(all those are "BiPAP autoSV Advanced Summary" items)
Then it shows my settings. That's it.
I need to see what EVENTS I've had and WHEN... Isn't even supposed to show waveforms?? Would Pro version show waveforms?--Or could this be an older machine limitation?? (BUT--My Doctor always knows from his reading of the card what my average events per hour are at least....)
Thanks so much for any help!!
PS I had a lot of trouble getting encore basic to read card at all for a while--that problem resolved by restarting my computer (and maybe by downloading current reader driver)
