[Equipment] Airsense 10. AHI number suddenly high

Airsense 10. AHI number suddenly high
Recently for the past 4 weeks my AHI is consistently between 15-25. There was one day at 4. Precious to the 4 weeks it was always below 5. I have changed the climate tube, nasal pillow, repacked filters. Tried everything. AHI simply won’t come down.

There’s been no change in my health or medications.

Is there anything I can check on my machine. My min pressure is set to 10 and max to 13.

Hi smallur,
Since you are already using SleepyHead, send us a screenshot of your data. (Daily page).
Directions are in my signature line below.

When you have time, since SleepyHead has been replaced by OSCAR software, download it and start looking at your data. Your AHI is obviously too high, and we would just be guessing at what the issue might be without actually seeing your data.

Hi there,
Thank you very much for the response. I will honestly appreciate any help. I have attached screenshots from OSCAR for yesterdays data and a summary screenshot.

Thanks again

Smallur, your may have developed complex apnea, but there are clusters of OA as well as quite a few CA events. We can try doing some new settings to try to reduce the CA events, specifically reduce EPR, and the clusters of OA may be positional apnea due to chin tucking. The two issues may be related.

The easy part of this is the OA. You will see a link to the Soft Cervical Collar wiki in my signature. Read that and the discussion of positional apnrea here: http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php...onal_Apnea You will see examples of other members charts, before and after using a soft cervical collar that look similar to your own. Think about your sleeping position and consider if you have changed anything, adding or changing your pillow

CA may be related to the positional apnea, but it is often reduced by chaning the EPR setting to 1 or off. Do what you can tolerate and stay comfortable, but your current EPR setting of 3 is probably making the CA worse. Let's start with that and see if we can get any improvements.

Welcome,

Your centrals were fine at EPR2 so please go there. Without that data I'd suggest more cutback than that. Your obstructive events are clustered which indicates your chin is tucking. Any change in pillows or anything? We typically suggest a soft cervical collar to resolve. see my signature.

Big thanks to OpalRose and Sleeprider

It was my EPR setting as you guys suspected. I turned it off and my AHI dropped to 2.

I truly appreciate this help. Much appreciated.

Good to know. Watch it for a couple days and repost data if you need to.
