[Equipment] CPAP machine quit.
#11
RE: CPAP machine quit.
First - no they did not go at the same time. I had one, it started acting up and fortunately i had some staff coming in to indonesia from the Philippines and they brought my spare machine. I connected them to the same humidifier but eventually the same error happened - so i took them off the humidifier and used them alone. Fortunately, they would stop for a while but eventually go back on. This would happen several times and eventually i would fall asleep so maybe it stayed on, maybe it would shut down again at night but i was already asleep. This erratic behavior continued through my travel through cambodia and vietnam on holiday and when i got home to the Philippines i dumped the machine for my S9 and haven't had time to bring it to a repair shop to check out the problem.

So maybe the problem started because of the humidifier. I had the machine at all times connected to a voltage regulator but i don't think this was the problem. Maybe it was the draw of the humidifier. I have not been able to get the other machine and humidifier back from Indonesia yet to repair. Is it a problem with the brand? Is this why the machines from this manufacturer are now selling at less than half the price of the S9 or can we talk about this in the forum?

I had the service required as well and this is what I did, and it worked!!! (we purchased the machine second hand). Took the screws out of the bottom, unplugged and replugged any thing I could (on the circuit board) and tada, fully functional!!! Seemed kinda like a code on a car, if you stop the code from sending it resets itself. Hope it helps!

I always use a heavy duty surge protector with mine, since it is a piece of computer equipment.
Wink
If your local power is really whacked out you may need a special powersupply with battery backup to smooth things out.

Good luck
