Thanks for all the suggestions. I washed everything out, ran the machine for a bit and it still smelled funny, not as bad as originally but it was still there. Used ozium as was suggested, changed out the filter and it smells like new again.

Been using the machine for 10 days now, ended up buying a new mask after a couple days. Old one was hurting my nose...
Anyways thanks for all the help once again.
