Dream Station Bipap
Hi everyone,

Does anyone know the life of the Dream Station auto bipap? I have over 9000 hrs on mine. My AHI seem to be going up and the gaskets and seal have change colors. Could it be due to the color of the gaskets and seals? Or what Dont-know

RE: Dream Station Bipap
Most CPAPs are designed to last a minimum of 5 years.  Based on 8 hours use per day, 365.25 days per year (to account for leap years), and 5 years equates to 8*365.25*5= 14610 hours.   Many, including myself, have models that are going strong after 16,000 to 22,000 hours.

Seeing that you're reporting seal discoloring, are you using any Ozone generator, UV light, or is your BiPAP setting in direct sunlight?

The silicone seals in a Dreamstation can be replaced with fresh silicone. Search for the Philips Dreamstation Dry Box Seal and Humidifier Flip-Lid Seal. Both are at Supplier #26 at a good price. If you want some help with settings or ideas on why your AHI is rising feel free to start a thread and post some charts.
