Dreamstation auto off ???
I have been on CPAP for over 25 years so am quite familiar with the entire process. Just got a new Dreamstation today to replace my Series One which is over 5 years old. On the Series One, I had an auto-off that would turn it off if I removed the mask for over 3 minuites or so(not sure of exact time). The dreamstation does not seem to have this feature, or I just cannot find it. Can anyone help me with this?? My machine is reasonability accessable, so turning it off is not a real problem, I just liked the auto-off feature mainly because I am lazy, and usually in a rush to the bathroom when I get up in the middle of the night.

RE: Dreamstation auto off ???
The Dreamstation has the Autostart feature and much more than your System One. You may need to access the clinical menu to turn it on. You can get a supplier manual by following the directions at the link at the top of this page for CPAP Setup Manuals. http://www.apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-pr...tup-manual
The System One Remstar Auto and Dreamstation Auto are very similar machines in different form factors. The manual will inform you about the newer features. Otherwise, I assume you will use similar settings. To measure the efficacy of those settings, you should have #Sleepyhead installed and look at your data from time to time. Welcome to Apneaboard.

RE: Dreamstation auto off ???
I found the autoStart feature, it is on, and works as expected. What I can't find is an autoOff feature. I do like the Dreamstation, and expect it to work as well or better than the Series One.

RE: Dreamstation auto off ???
Auto-off works when the autostart is activated. It takes up to a minute to activate on the Philips machine. It is very fast on Resmed machine. Turn it on and let it blow. It will record a big leak and finally turn off.

The auto off is in there, somewhere. I actually have it enabled on my Dreamstation, but never use it. I DO use the auto on, saves me the trouble of reaching.

Maybe I just didn't wait long enough for it to go off. Glad to hear that it does shut off. In the middle of the night, I really haate to go looking for it.

Follow the hose! -- My alarm clock is between me and my Dreamstation. Turing it on is automatic, but turning it off means I have to sit up to reach it. And I normally check my overnight numbers, too, so it's not that big a deal to have to get up to shut it off.

RE: Dreamstation auto off ???
I have been on CPAP over 25 years, so I don't worry about numbers, just as long as I sleep, and DW says I don't snore or stop breathing. Haven't been back to sleep clinic in over 15 years, and current doctor doesn't know anything about sleep problems. If I am happy, he is.
