[Equipment] Heated tube hack

Heated tube hack
Hi, I found out a little while ago that I wake up 600 times every night.

Probably done so for thirty years.

I've been trying out a new top of the line Respironics machine with heated tube

I'm lucky. The machine is working wonders and I'm doing even better with a fixed air pressure. Down to 4 wake ups a night.

I've also bought a second hand REMstar Pro C-Flex + with a standard humidifier for a very good price

What I want to know is:

Can I upgrade the humidifier lid? I already have an 80w power supply.

Hi Philip Graham and welcome to the forum
Depend ... yes, if the machine is "System One" model 460 (60 series machine), you'll also need the heated tube
Not, if the model 450 (50 series machine)

WARNING: Remove the water tank from your CPAP machine before turning the machine over or moving it.

Welcome

It depends on whether the machine is a 50-series or a 60-series. Flip the machine over and look for the REF number. If the middle digit is a 6, it is a 60-series machine and it can use the heated hose. Be sure to remove the water tank before flipping the machine over.

The conversion kit will include an 80-watt power supply, so you will end up with an extra. Supplier no. 1 on the supplier list has the conversion kit.
