RE: New user- Humidifier
You can but I'd try to avoid it. One it can lead to leaks from your chin dropping. Two you'll end up with a dry sore throat.

RE: New user- Humidifier
I have attached several screenshots of my sleep last night. I woke up tired, but I did work in the yard all day Saturday. I have the overall night (ignore the data on the far left - fitting mask). What looks likes normal data and then a couple of zoomed in sections. Not sure what is happening in the zoomed areas? My main question is what is the valley caused from? Could that be where I mouth breath?

Hey! you've come a long way baby! Great results, and looks a lot more comfortable. I think your pressure is following flow limitations, so, it would help to move that up in the chart order, since snores are not a big deal. Leaks are pretty good here, and your pressure range is staying in the 8 to 11 inhale range with 5 to 8 exhale. That should be pretty comfortable. The closeups have very normal looking respiratory patterns with a lot less flow limitation that we saw before. There are a couple big sighs with a lot of air moving, and all that does is prove you have healthy lungs. You are able to move a lot of air in a short time, and that is something to be thankful for. I don't see a problem in the graphs presented here. Nice job getting the zero dashed line.

Focusing on the valley below the red line to answer your question, the first graph from 21:30 shows normal balanced respiration with no flow limit. The exhale, where it dips below the red line shows good flow that slows ahead of the next inhale. The section at 22:50 shows some increased flow limitation. Your inhale flow starts off pretty good and flattens out indicating a slowing rate of flow. There is a big breath at 22:52, and that is probably in compensation for the preceding flow limits. The exhale on the back of that inspiration hits a flow rate of -100 mL/second. This is normal healthy lungs expiring the air taken in. That fact it shows up in the chart means this was all nasal breathing. The remaining chart is unremarkable except for a near-hypopnea, probably from an arousal or change in sleep position. Again, I don't see leaks as a big problem here. Leaks are on par with my own results.
