[Equipment] Philips Respironics DreamStation [Access to heater settings in clinical menu]

Philips Respironics DreamStation [Access to heater settings in clinical menu]
As colder weather is approaching in New England it was time to turn on the heater for the humidifier and the heated tubing on my new (June 2019) DreamStation. I soon discovered that I had to go into the provider portion of the DreamStation to turn them on and to control them. Does anyone else feel that this a a huge design flaw and does anyone know if Philips has any plans to move these controls from the provider portion of the DreamStation software interface. If they can be controlled from end user portion of the software interface I would appreciate some assistance. Thank you.

RE: Philips Respironics DreamStation
A don’t know about a design flaw, but probably it’s just to keep you dependent on your DME, which you don’t need to be.

They don’t consider you (the end user) to be their customer, so any design wouldn’t be to necessarily make it easy for you, but to make you dependent on their customer (the DME/supplier).

Order your own Clinicians manual and make your pressure or comfort changes on your own.

RE: Philips Respironics DreamStation
On my DreamStation it is easy to control the humidifier and heated tubing without going into the setup menu. Try this: 1)start the machine 2)Look at the display, it should show a number indicating the pressure and also show 2 icons to the right, one for the tubing and one for the humidifier 3)Turn the knob to highlight the feature you wish to adjust, then push the knob to select it 4)Turn the knob to set as desired 5)Push the knob to enter the new setting. You're done! Disclaimer: I'm away from my machine. I wrote this strictly from memory so it may be wrong in some minor way. But you get the idea. Let me know if it works for you.
