[Equipment] Phillips Respironics 450p and 550p

Phillips Respironics 450p and 550p
Have had 2 of these, the 450 failed then dropped the 550 and it failed a few days later too. So I am into 2 weeks without a CPAP and I am really sleeping poorly. So I am a technical guy, and I start thinking I can swap parts etc and get a good unit and start taking them apart. Put one back together and zippo, no soap.

Then I start wondering about the power supply. Son of a gun, I plug in the car battery setup I have for our cabin in the mountains, and all of a sudden, I have 2 functional CPAP machines, I am in the money!!! Sleep tonight.

Must have carried over the power supply to the second unit and ...

So, I always thought the power supply was hokey, some dam thing that they had to buy a medical device grade thats not as good as a usual laptop item that will last forever.

So, all I have to do is find the other supply or make a new one. By the way, its a 12 volt input to a standard barrel connector. Easy...

Philips Respironics power supplies for the System One machines are all interchangeable 12-volt 5 amp supplies. They are really inexpensive, and you can find them through the online DME suppliers, or for that matter a standard 5-amp power supply from Batteries+ or similar electronic vendors.
