RE: Problem with SoClean2
PoolQ, The Doctor increased your pressure support to clear out more CO2. Just in case you wanted to know.
RE: Problem with SoClean2
I have heard similar results as others above have posted. SoClean does not actually clean the parts to where you are freed from the obligation to wash the mask, hose, humidifier tub.
As for waking with headaches, I believe my headaches were due to the too high of a concentration of CO2 in the bloodstream, a result of sleep apnea. FWIW my headaches and CO2 issue was directly related to improper equipment and therapy settings. In other words, I needed a different machine to provide another form of Apnea therapy. Further, I needed to optimize therapy settings. Does either scenario apply to you? Maybe the second part applies to you, as there seems to a great majority of PAP therapy users that need to have their settings tweaked to be more effective.
Best wishes on a resolution.

RE: Problem with SoClean2
I've used the SoClean machine for several years and I hand wash my mask, nose pillows, hose, and water chamber every Saturday. I wash the heated hose once a month. I also use hand wipes on the pillows every other day. No issues with headaches, etc. SoClean does what it is designed to do, kill bacteria. However, it is not a replacement for hand washing your equipment.
