[Equipment] ResMed AirMini™
#81
RE: ResMed AirMini™
Followup:

Resmed emailed a response.  Resmed indicated the Airmini cannot produce a Legally Acceptable Department of Transportation Compliance Report for Pilots or Truck Drivers.

Note:
The DOT Compliance Report is available through the Resmed Rescan PC program. There is a dedicated Compliance selection under reports.
Every Resmed CPAP except the Airmini can use the Rescan program.
The Resmed Airmini cannot provide a DOT Compliance Report.

Strange Resmed would design a device perfect for Pilots and Truck Drivers without providing the necessary reports.

Disappointed.

I use the DreamStation Go Auto when on the road. I actually like it better than the home unit but I've found I prefer no humidity. This unit can produce DOT compliant reports for the FAA at least. I just completed the recertification process and there were no issues with any of the data sets I provided.

Indeed.   A bit surprising that not only it cannot produce compliance reports but also it cannot provide detailed data of any kind as it has no SD card.  The data it does supply is equivalent to what you would see on MyAir which is less than adequate if you want to really hone in on your therapy such as what you would see on ResScan and SleepyHead.

RE: ResMed AirMini™
I just received this reply from Resmed AU regarding reporting:

Thank you for reaching out to ResMed. AirMini now has data to cloud capabilities for compliance and detailed reporting.

To learn about how this this feature works please speak to a ResMed Accredited Outlet or feel free to contact ResMed Customer Support.

From what I've been able to research, your data is now uploaded to the cloud via the latest version of the AirMini app (IOS and Android). You then need to go through a sleep specialist (or whoever has access to the data) to get the reports.

I did this a few years ago when my copy of the Resmed app (Windoze) decided not to load my data. It cost me $35.00 at my local, because I wasn't a 'regular' customer.

As for the compliance side of things for Australian pilots - I spoke with the Australian aviation regulator (CASA) the other day, (before becoming aware of the latest app development, mentioned above). They told me that they would accept a download from my regular device (S9), backed up with screen shots of compliance from the travel device. They will require a letter from my sleep specialist at medical time verifying compliance. To me, that's a reasonable compromise, because I get a report from him anyway (it is not mandatory in AU, if you can furnish a full data download to CASA).

So, this machine is a possibility for me now (notwithstanding the adverse reports I've read).

RE: ResMed AirMini™
Has anyone been able to produce a usage report, compliance report or any form of usage summary from the AirMini data that is uploaded (cloud) from the device?

It seems that this data is in .txt file type but how to convert it to a readable/usable format.

From what I have read this data is not compatible with ResScan software.

Any ideas, tips, hints would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
