[Equipment] ResMed Quattro FX ff mask question
11-16-2014, 10:24 PM
On my Quattro FX mask there's a silicone plug located over two small holes just below where the hose attaches... called a "ports cap" on the parts list. Anyone know what the reason is for those holes and in what circumstance would the cap ever need to be removed? Thanks

Could be used for things like injecting Oxygen, I suppose.
If those Port Caps ever fall off, it would make it Large Leak city.

The Advisory Member group provides advice and suggestions to Apnea Board administrators and staff on matters concerning Apnea Board operation and administrative policies - not on matters concerning treatment for Sleep Apnea. I think it is now too late to change the name of the group but I think Voting Member group would perhaps have been a more descriptive name for the group.

Yep. Anytime a mask has something called "port cap", it is for oxygen hose. As Vaughn said, leave the cap firmly in place.
