SD card reading
My SD card is just showing SD card reading and there is a flashing thingamajig for the next letter at the end. The machine wont start up or let me do the readout thing on my resmart auto. I called the company and they said it is full of data and i either need to empty it which it wont let me do orreplace the SD card with a new one. Doesnt anyone know where i can get a new SD card? I was told they were inexpensive. Thanks in advance. tim52160

RE: SD card reading
They are very common, cameras and many other devices use them. Most stores selling electronics will have a selection.

RE: SD card reading
The SD card use by a cpap is very small. A big storage card in not needed.

RE: SD card reading
There are no numbers or IDs. It is just a common, basic SD memory card. Just walk in and say "I want a 2 gigabyte SD memory card". Or whatever the smallest one they sell is. I have 16GB in my machine which is way overkill.

RE: SD card reading
SD cards are very inexpensive, especially small capacity SD Cards. Make sure to get a full size card, not a micro SD card. I won't post any links here, but you can PM me and I'll show you some good places to buy an SD card from online vendors.

RE: SD card reading
That's a very interesting question.
I saw that you didn't use any software, for me, that means that maybe you don't know to much about computers. That will be a problem. In order to buy yourself an SD card and make it work in your machine you must: -Know the minimum memory amount of your machine, for example I got a an Airsense10 and I know that my memory is 4GB. If you pull out your card from your machine and hook it up to a computer you will find out very easy the amount of memory of your SD card. Buy one with the same amount of memory or bigger. In may case you can buy this memory anywhere for about $10.00 USD. -You must format your new SD card. I think that it probably will be FAT32. -All the memories in this kind of machine got different files with data. You must find out looking for the dates which one are the daily reports and do not copy that ones, leave only the last 2 or three of this kind. Copy all the others files in the same way they are in the old SD card to the new SD card. -Insert your new card in your machine and probably it will work. If it doesn't work show this notes to one of your friends with computer knowledge and ask for help. I am trying to give you an easy way to hack your SD card and avoid to over paid for the one that your provider will sell you. Ralph NOte: I don't know if this post is legal or not because is about a hacking. -

If you don't know anything about copying files from an SD card... DON'T DO ANYTHING TO IT. All SD cards come pre-formatted. As Chill said, just go to a shop and ask for a 2GB SD card (not micro-SD)... but if they don't have a 2GB then 4GB will do just fine. Don't download the data from your current card to your new card, it will just fill up the new card and you will be back to square one with the machine not able to record to the new card (unless the new card is a bigger capacity). Keep your current SD card stored somewhere safe, the continuing data will be stored from the machine on the new card when you install it. If your CPAP clinic or specialist needs to combine data from both SD cards they will know how to do it, all you need to do is take both SD cards to them.. also make sure you know which card is which if you buy one that looks identical to the current one, otherwise you may accidentally install the old SD card back in to the machine at some point and it then won't store the night's data as it is already full. |
