Thanks

Hi Junkman,

A hearty welcome to you to the forum! I just bought a card reader for my PR System One (which is very similar to your CPAP machine) at the Supplier #1 web site for $59. However, I am sure that if you look around you can probably find a cheaper price than that.

Okay folks, let's restate this clearly.

The machine the OP has does NOT use a regular data card like the SD used in cameras. It is a "smart card", a proprietary thing that needs a special gadget to read it. This is not a card you can put into any other CPAP nor put into a camera.

Quip: You paid $59 for that?! You were severely ripped off. That is simply a single slot card reader from Iogear. Something like that goes for less than $15, probably less than $10 if another brand. And that is why I don't use that supplier.

Paula, unfortunately I did pay $59 for my card reader that particular supplier. I think that I was severely ripped off too knowing now that card readers go for as little as $15 or even $10. I had thought when I was buying the card reader that it had to be specialized because it was reading the SD card out of my CPAP machine. I was totally unaware that any ordinary card reader would do. In that instance, I was quite naive. You all know the old cliche "a fool and his money are soon departed . . ." Well, that's why happened to me with Supplier #1 because I didn't have enough education in that area yet. Well, that certainly NOT happening a second time for sure!
