[Equipment] stopping tube condensation

stopping tube condensation
Using BiPap for 8 months & love sleeping in a cool room. Found a very inexpensive and effective means of preventing "rainout". Wrap bubble wrap (small bubbles) around the tube and secure with rubber bands or twist ties. I also cut off the legs of panty hoses, cut hole in the toes and covered the entire hose (securing it with bands) to make it neat. Having difficulty with the sizing of the attached picture but hope it is of some value.

If nothing else, it will keep out cat claws.

Looks a bit cumbersome compared to a heated hose and fleece cover, but it meets the McGiver criteria of being simple, functional and cheap. Welcome to the forums.

It looks like... something I wouldn't want to dangle around my head so -10 points for aesthetics. Don't they may pantyhose in different colour than brown?
It works? +10 points for creativity and another 10 for practical thinking!
In fact, even if not necessarily (for me) for home use, it may be a perfect solution for camping when every watt of power counts!

Perhaps you can find some 'jeggings'? I think that's the thing - and you don't have to cut off the toe...

Hi SCnoel,
WELCOME! to the forum.!
Thanks for the tips.
I had someone make me a couple homade tube wraps and they do the job quite nicely.
Hang in there for more responses to your post and much success to you with your CPAP therapy.
