RE: Events way too high!
Our altitude in Colorado is 5180. In Arizona it's 879.
Last night, at 13/9, her AHI was 39.7. This morning I put it back to the prescribed 14/10 and we will just wait for some doctor to respond!
Also last night, I checked her oxygen when she went to bed. 93. I remembered the ramp up time, so at 11:30, I got up and checked again, it was 88. I pushed her oxygen up to 4 liters, from 3. At 5:00, she was at 97. I'll have to get the data to Sleepyhead and see the chart to see if that made any difference at all.
But, the bottom line, I feel that bouncing her all over the scale is not helping any, so I'll just wait for the doctors to finally come around. She seems to do the best at 14/10, even though it is too high. At least she is retired so she can sleep all day if she needs to!
Thanks for all the help and encouragement.

Update: we are now in Arizona. Her numbers are back to almost normal now. Maybe it's the altitude, Arizona vs Colorado, but more likely (I think) is the oxygen level. She has oxygen pumped into her biPAP mask. In Colorado she was using 3 liters. In Arizona she's using 1.5 liters. Her pulmonary doctor said to increase her oxygen level to 4, but that won't take effect until we get back to Colorado.
So, for now, she's doing a lot better, 6-10 events per hour.

Another update: Lincare finally called yesterday, after about a month since her sleep study, and said that they changed her settings remotely. I checked and they changed from 14/10 to 18/11. Tonight will be the first night with the new settings. But she is down to 10 events now.
