FIRST NIGHT ON MY NEW S9 flow limitation?
#1
Question
FIRST NIGHT ON MY NEW S9 flow limitation?
Ran my S9 VPAP Auto in S mode at prescribed pressures.
My AHi is 2.0 and my AI is 1.7
Sounds good; but the detailed graphs bring up some issues.
I did get 8 hours sleep. I must say the sampling frequency of the S9 is greater than the old S8. I seem to snore quite a bit.
What concerns me the the Flow Limitation graph. What's up with that?

How does it compare with S8 graph?

Snoring and FL is an indication that pressures are not optimal
If that to continue, I would raise pressure and see if FL been taken care off and watch out for central apnea .... balancing act

S8 could not detect snore or flow limitation.
Apparently my S9 cannot detect CA when in S mode.
It can in Auto.
After, I report to sleep doc in a week, I think I'll try it on Auto -- It may take care of my FL, snore and detect centrals.
I think I'm going to bump up my pressures by 1 cm-h2o.
I was running my S8 at 15/10 -- went back to Rx pressures for first night on new machine.
